CHIE ACADEMY – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to CHIE Academy. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.


1. ABOUT CHIE ACADEMY

  • CHIE Academy is an international online learning platform that provides:
  • Skill-based online courses (pre-recorded videos, e-books, and learning materials)
  • Certifications
  • Mentorship (1-on-1 and group coaching)
  • Consultation services
  • Webinars hosted by experts
  • Career and job opportunities through partner organizations
  • Monetization opportunities for students and creatives  

2. USER ELIGIBILITY

By using CHIE Academy, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You will use the platform in compliance with applicable laws

3. USER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


3.1 Students

  • Must pay for courses, certifications, and learning materials
  • Are responsible for completing course requirements to obtain certification
  • May access job opportunities subject to evaluation and performance
  • Agree that results (e.g., job placement, income) are not guaranteed 

3.2 Expert Mentors & Consultants

  • Can set their own hourly rates and schedules
  • Must provide professional, accurate, and ethical guidance
  • Are responsible for their services and interactions with students
  • Agree that CHIE Academy may take a commission from bookings

3.3 Volunteer Teachers / Course Creators

  • Must submit original content (videos, materials, etc.)
  • Agree that CHIE Academy will edit and brand all content
  • Grant CHIE Academy the right to distribute and sell their content
  • Will receive 50% profit share from course sales

3.4 Partner Organizations

  • Collaborate for job placements, training, and opportunities
  • Are independent entities; CHIE Academy is not liable for their actions

4. COURSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND CONTENT

  • Courses are delivered via pre-recorded videos and digital materials
  • Certificates are issued upon successful completion of requirements
  • CHIE Academy reserves the right to modify course content at any time
  • Certificates do not guarantee employment but may enhance opportunities

5. PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS

5.1 Payments

  • All fees must be paid in full before accessing paid services
  • Pricing may vary depending on the course, mentor, or service

5.2 Refund Policy

  • Payments are non-refundable, except in cases of:

    • Technical issues preventing access
    • Duplicate transactions
  • Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days

6. MENTORSHIP AND CONSULTATION SERVICES

  • Sessions are scheduled based on mentor/consultant availability
  • Users must attend sessions on time
  • Missed sessions may not be refundable unless stated otherwise
  • CHIE Academy does not guarantee specific outcomes

7. CAREER AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

CHIE Academy may provide:

  • Job referrals and pool interviews
  • Freelance and project opportunities
  • Startup incubation and support
  • Creative monetization platforms

However:

  • Employment is not guaranteed
  • Selection depends on performance, qualifications, and partner requirements

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

  • All platform content (videos, materials, branding) is owned by CHIE Academy or licensed contributors
  • Users may not copy, distribute, or resell content without permission
  • Course creators grant CHIE Academy rights to use and distribute submitted content

9. USER CONDUCT

Users agree NOT to:

  • Share login credentials
  • Upload harmful, illegal, or plagiarized content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Attempt to hack or disrupt the platform

Violation may result in account suspension or termination.


10. PLATFORM ECOSYSTEM

CHIE Academy is part of a broader ecosystem including:

  • CHIEverse
  • CHIENNIAL
  • Blueprint & Bloom
  • Artful CHIE
  • CHIEducate
  • CHIEconic

Users may access opportunities across these platforms, subject to additional terms.


11. REVENUE SHARING AND COMMISSIONS

  • Course creators: 50% profit share
  • Writing contributors: up to 30% profit share on products
  • Mentorship/consultation: platform commission applies
  • CHIE Academy reserves the right to adjust commission structures with notice

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

CHIE Academy is not liable for:

  • Loss of income, employment, or opportunities
  • Actions of mentors, consultants, or partner organizations
  • Technical issues beyond reasonable control
  • User-generated content

13. PRIVACY

  • User data will be collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Data may be shared with partners only when necessary for services

14. TERMINATION

CHIE Academy reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts for violations
  • Remove content that breaches policies
  • Discontinue services at any time

15. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated Terms.


16. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Philippines.
